Hiscores

Every rank on this page is cryptographically provable. No exceptions, no appeals — and nobody to appeal to. A rank here is arithmetic anybody can redo from signed inputs and certified history, so it is yours rather than this server's, and it crosses with you into any world founded on the same constitution.

The Nine

One race per trade, and each one can only be won once. A race that is over names its winner for as long as the world lasts. A race still running names whoever is closest, and how much of the climb they have behind them. The last level alone is 1,112,977 experience, near a seventh of the whole ascent, so a citizen can sit in sight of mastery for a very long time while everyone watches. The nearest race is at the top.

The Records

A first is spent the day it is won. A record cannot be: somebody always walks it faster, and the board is as alive in year twenty as on the first day. Every one of these is the number of intervals a citizen took to climb from level fifty to ninety-nine in one skill — and this world can PROVE them. Ticks are deterministic, inputs are signed and the history is certified, so a time here is arithmetic anybody can redo, not a claim you are asked to believe.

Unaided means that citizen had never taken a thing from another: no trade accepted, nothing lifted from somebody else’s pile, no cart of theirs opened, nothing bought at their stall. Supplied means they had. Neither is the cheat. Being supplied is what an island with an economy is for.

The Firsts

Twenty-four things can be done first, and each of them only once in the whole life of this world. The ledger has always remembered who did them. This is simply the page that says so. A first cannot be taken back or taken over: whoever did it first holds it while this world lasts, however far anyone else surpasses them afterwards.
